4.1 Candidates will be able to understand concepts of information literacy and can apply those to help students and educators improve their information literacy skills on the path to becoming dialectical readers.
My partner and I created a website for students to learn about critical information literacy. The students were able to learn how to find credible websites and how to rate them based on their information. There were multiple checklists for the students to use to evaluate the websites and determine which ones were most beneficial to them and what they were researching. The students had to complete research about healthy foods and then create a podcast, screencast, blog or presentation to persuade people on whether school lunches were healthy or not.
